We are redesigning our web site and promise you it will be a great place to visit. More pictures, an online store where you can order your customized mountain dulcimer and accessories, music and instructional videos, tablature, and even a music CD of my original compositions.
We have wonderful and new things coming, so come back soon. And if you want to be on our confidential email list register and we will let you know what's new, as well as additions to our web site.
Capote Hills Dulcimer Company was established by me, Jack Whitworth, in June of 2005. I am also of course a dulcimer player. I think that helps me with designing an instrument that sounds good and is easy to play. My goal is to produce high quality instruments at an affordable price, but also with uniqueness. I have a very small work shop in my yard where I hand craft every instrument.
I would love to see a dulcimer in every home in America. It is a great instrument. I play several other instruments but I wish I had found the dulcimer years ago. It’s become a passion.
